Metro 1 Properties closes on a 23,000+ sf warehouse in the heart of Wynwood
Wynwood-Miami, FL - Tony Cho, President of Metro 1 Properties, just sold an industrial warehouse for a reported $2.925M in the heart of Wynwood, Miami’s burgeoning Arts District. Located at 85 NE 27 Street, the space was formerly home to Urbanus Furniture, which sells home furnishings to national retailers such as Crate & Barrel, Room & Board and Storehouse. This landmark designer warehouse/showroom offered two warehouses with an additional 8,000sf lot on 28th street featuring the urban exterior space along the FEC rail. The reported purchaser is 89 NE 27 ST, LLC and purchased the property for investment purposes.
This is a sure sign that things are continuing to move in this up and coming area. More and more national tenants and investors are bringing their business with a vision for the future of Wynwood.

Metro 1 Properties launches Sustainable Services Division
Miami, FL – Meeting the demands of today, Metro 1 Properties continues to lead the way by becoming one of the first “Green” brokerages in Florida. The launch of Metro 1 Properties’ Sustainability Services Division consists of a myriad of “green” services that includes site selection, design and marketing consultation, new construction, existing buildings and affordable housing. As a member of the United States Green Building Council (USGBC), Metro 1 Properties has integrated sustainable growth and development in the firm’s infrastructure creating a platform for real estate professionals to flourish in a niche market.
The firm has created stringent guidelines for their urban associates, now requiring minimum standards of LEED AP status for each associate in addition to educational requirements simply not found in other firms. The firm’s continuing efforts to “Go Green” include a wide range of initiatives through 2008 with current initiatives in place that include recycling, as well as using recycled paper products and eco-friendly cleaning products. Metro 1 Properties has also put paperless office procedures into action that will reduce paper usage by over 400lbs annually. Throughout the year the firm will continually implement green initiatives such as in-house LEED training programs, renewable signs, hybrid car outlets, and even hybrid company vehicles.
