    Francis Clougherty joins Metro 1 Properties

    Miami, FL –  Metro 1 Properties, Inc. welcomes Francis Clougherty as the Senior Vice President of Investment Properties. Mr. Clougherty has nearly 20 years of active Miami commercial real estate experience, starting with Dacra Realty and Development, where he remained for over ten years leaving the company as president and broker of record for its realty division. From Dacra he opened his own brokerage, Lincoln Road Land Company for two and a half years before transitioning to Majestic Properties where he was a Top Producer for over seven years. During his tenure in commercial real estate in Miami, Clougherty focused on the Biscayne Corridor and South Beach closing over 100,000 sf of retail sales    on the renowned Lincoln Road.  Clougherty most notably brokered the sale of the W South Beach hotel/condominium site for $77M, which won awards from the South Florida Business Journal’s Real Estate Deal of the Year competition. Other notable transactions include the Coppertone Building at 7300 Biscayne Boulevard, the Nash Hotel and the Bays Inn Hotel to name a few. Despite turmoil in the Miami commercial real estate market, Clougherty closed over $25 million in sales transactions in 2008.

    Metro 1 Properties brokers a 20,000 sf warehouse in the heart of Hialeah

     

    Hialeah- Miami, FL – Tony Cho, President of Metro 1 Properties, and Fabian Graff, Senior Investment Specialist, brokered a 20,000sf industrial warehouse for $1.65M in the heart of Hialeah. Located at 621 W 20th Street, the space represented by Metro 1 Properties was sold to Opko Health Instruments, LLC, a healthcare company focusing on the commercialization and development of proprietary pharmaceuticals and instruments for the diagnosis and treatment of ophthalmologic disorders.  The sellers, ANFS, LLC, are an investment group partially managed and owned by the Metro 1 group. At current, Senior Associate, Fabian Graff, is representing 80,000 sf of space available for sale or lease at the adjacent property, 651 W 20th Street. Mr. Graff is currently working with the Biotech and life science industries to facilitate new business into the submarket. With a Metro rail stop just blocks away it is an ideal employment center as well as being located just north of the Miami International Airport.
