    The M1 Sustainable Homes™ Division starts off Strong

    The M1 Sustainable Homes™ Division started off strong with the sale of a three bedroom, three bath condominium unit at the luxurious Continuum building located south of Fifth Street in Miami Beach. The condo traded for 3.15M and closed quickly to an all-cash buyer. Metro 1 Properties will be assisting the new buyer in updating the residence with sustainable flooring, efficient lighting, fixtures and appliances, low VOC paints and other environmentally conscious upgrades. By utilizing the firm’s in-house Green Building Resource Center, the buyer was able to select from a wide variety of sustainable samples and start the updates quickly.

    The vision for the newly launched M1 Sustainable Homes Division is to provide sustainable real estate solutions for residential properties which include condos, single family homes, green developments, residential income, luxury, distressed and rental properties. M1 Sustainable Homes ™ will focus on creating more sustainable residential properties, developments and urban environments and providing solutions for the consumers, homeowners, investors and institutions alike, who are all looking to create a more economically viable, environmental friendly and energy efficient world.

    Another deal closed by Metro 1 – Solar bike company leases space for headquarters

    Metro 1 Properties’ Senior Urban Associate Fabian Graff secured a lease, for Deco Bike, LLC. Deco Bike, LLC. is a Miami-based joint venture firm that will house is headquarters in the Wynwood Arts District.The company recently entered into contract with the City of Miami Beach to provide residents and visitors an automated, solar-powered public bicycle rental and sharing system that will operate 24 hours per day throughout the City. Patrons will be able to check a bike out from any of 85 station locations and return to a station of their choosing. With nearly 1,000 bikes in the program, it aims to improve mobility in the community, improve public health, reduce vehicle emissions and help to eliminate parking problems and traffic congestion by taking hundreds of cars off the road. Bikes will be available via monthly memberships or on an hourly basis. Such programs have experienced great success in Europe and now are slated to be implemented in a variety of urban locations in America. The Deco Bike Miami Beach program will be one of the first and largest city-wide programs in the country and is expected to launch in the Spring of 2010.

    Miami, FL – Commercial real estate firm Metro 1 Properties recently announced plans to launch a Residential Real Estate Division under the name of M1 Sustainable Homes™. The vision for M1 Homes is to provide sustainable real estate solutions for residential properties which include condos, single family homes, green developments, residential income, luxury, distressed and rental properties.     Metro 1 Properties wins 2008 Green Exhibitor Award – one of only 32 companies

    Greenbuild is the world’s largest conference and expo dedicated to green building. Thousands of building professionals from all over the world come together at Greenbuild for three days of outstanding educational sessions, renowned speakers, green building tours, special seminars, and networking events. The Green Exhibitor Performance Award recognizes the outstanding efforts of exhibiting companies who are successfully minimizing the negative environmental effects of participating in conferences and tradeshows. The Award criteria are designed to establish a baseline for accepted environmentally responsible exhibit practices. Each participating exhibitor earns points based on the amount of environmentally responsible practices and products incorporated into their display.

    Metro 1 Properties was awarded the 2008 Green Exhibitor Award for their sustainable booth design at the USGBC’s Greenbuild Boston. With over 800 exhibitors at Greenbuild, Metro 1 Properties was one of 32 companies that was awarded.
